My Trip to Mississipi

My thanksgiving trip to Mississippi was a surprise experience with my new family.

Travel on Thanksgiving can be a little interesting because of the large number of people traveling on this holiday. Initially, we drove from southern Maryland to Baltimore. The traffic and the security line at the airport were not bad. The interesting thing that surprised us was the parking at the airport. All the long term parking lots were closed. So, we had to find private parking also all of them required reservation in advance. The only lot available was the hourly parking which is more expensive. Other than that everything occured very smoothly.

 

I have not met my wife's cousins, aunts, and uncles before. They were very nice. They picked us up at the New Orleans airport which is two hours from Hattiesburg,  Mississippi. I met my wife's cousins chieldren. There are eight boys and one girl. I loved them. I got to hold a four month old baby and play with all of them. Her grandmother and grandfather are very sweet and friendly.

 

My wife, Mallory told me about the football fans in southern US. Still I did not know how much they like it. Most of the houses have a football flag. Mallory's uncle has football flag in all the place in his house. They explained to me all the football rules and they even tried to convert me to a football fan.

 

Southern food is delicious. We ate shrimp with jalapenos, southern beans with nachos and chicken and dumplings. I really like southern food. It is very tasty and filling.

On the last day of our trip we went back to New Orleans. We saw some of the Hurricane Katrina devastation, such as a bridge and some houses that were destroyed. However, the city is almost recovered from it. Also we saw the beautiful French buildings that the city is famous for.

After that, we went to the Cafe Du Monde. The treats have amazing coffee called cafe au lait with donout benier. They were very sweet and yummy.

I really enjoyed spending time with my new family. They were very welcoming and nice. I am sure we will return to see them as soon as possible.

Trip to Maui

Maui is a breathtaking place with fabulous scenic views. This is a paradise in the middle of nowhere. Visitors can find adventure sports and also a place to spend money in the huge resorts.

Maui is one of the Hawaii islands. It is considered the most romantic island in Hawaii, because of the calm and blue beach. It is a great spot for newly married couples to spend their honeymoon. 

The resorts on this island are enormous. Maui's courses are huge. Each resort has its own club. Furthermore, resorts have gyms, restaurants, pools and even spas. Some millionaires have property on Maui such as Oprah. A lot of things can be expensive in this place, also because it is far from everything.

Maui has a diversified  ecosystem. The nature contrast is formidable. It has rain forests, deserts, black beaches, red beaches, flowers and animals that can only be seen on this island. Its diversity is due to the tall mountains that block the clouds so one side of the island rains more than the other side. This phenomenon creates beautiful waterfalls, rainbows and awesome scenic spots. 

Hawaiian culture is rich in deferents aspects. It includes songs, food and so much more.They have delicious fresh food such as fish taco with mango that you can find in the famous local restaurants.  Furthermore, the Hawaiian song is very peaceful which is a good song to relax on the beach. The fabulous environment with all the unique Hawaiian beauty makes everything special.
